We spend a lot of time talking about the businesses in our community. Which makes sense; however, we recognize and know that nonprofits support and uplift some of the most vulnerable populations in our communities. My professional background has given me the opportunity to work in many nonprofits over the years. so, a large piece of my professional foundation recognizes the intricate link of the for profit and nonprofit world.
Each year the Chamber of Commerce board picks a local nonprofit to partner to do a St. Patrick’s Day fundraiser, Kegs and Eggs. This year we are partnering with Malvern Area Betterment Association, to raise funds for the incredible work that they have done. If you spend time in Malvern, you can see the evidence of the work that MABA has done. From installing the streetlamps, to public art, to community events, MABA has paved a roadmap for how to build a sense of belonging and community.
This March 12th, from 9am to 11am we hope that you will join us at Keg Creek Brewing Company. We will be celebrating the work that they have done and continue to do. We will have music, a freewill donation breakfast, and a silent auction that includes a green mountain grill and so much more.
