C.U.P. Non-Competitive 5K Fun Run

Saturday, October 13, 7:30 a.m.
This Relay for Life fundraiser is a non-competitive 5K fun run/walk for all fitness levels with five challenges built into the course.  The event will begin and end at Glenwood Lake Park.  “Like” Glenwood CUP Run on Facebook for up

I’m excited to share the five challenges that will be on the event route at the first annual C.U.P. Run.   They’re going to be a blast!
1) JB Fitness: LIMBO–Keep Your Rack Off the Rope
2) Rounds Home: LADDERS & RINGS–Fighting Cancer Takes Agility
3) Skate Park: PUSH UPS–Push ups on the Pipe
4) Golf Course Parking Lot: BALL JUGGLE–Cuz the Balls Matter Too
5) Keg Creek Brewery: “HOPS”COTCH
Remember, this event is for ALL fitness levels.  If you can walk, you can do it!  All challenges are totally optional, skip whatever you don’t want to do!  This is an untimed, non-competitive event–we’re just out there to show support of the fight against breast cancer.
If you would like to help the fight, but don’t want to participate, you can still donate at www.jbfitnessiowa.com as an In Spirit participant.  Another option is to volunteer.  We are looking for several more volunteers for that morning; if you’re willing, please let me know ASAP.  (There just MAY be a free shirt in it for you if you volunteer…just sayin’.)
Finally, we will be giving away prizes that have been donated by local businesses to all participants.  We’re announcing them one-by-one between now and event day (OCTOBER 13).  So far, we’ve announced two:
  • A car detailing donated by Best Finish Auto
  • A free month of boot camp or group fitness (your choice) at JB Fitness
Go to www.jbfitnessiowa.com to register and “like” Glenwood CUP Run on Facebook for more announcements and info between now and October 13.
