Total Resource Campaign

Total Resource Campaign

Based on the longevity & community exposure at each event we have categorized events into two tiers.

  • Tier I events are established events with significant name recognition that are well attended by community members and professional business contacts.
  • Tier II events include newer events and smaller venues. These are still great Chamber Sponsored events allowing your business to gain desired attendance and exposure from your target market.

Please enter which events you wish to sponsor in 2018. (Note: no need to do this if selecting Pacesetter package as all events are included).

Refer to the table to the left.

The Glenwood Area Chamber Total Resource Campaign (TRC) is an annual membership campaign designed to give our members the opportunity to sponsor and be promoted at Chamber events, programs, social media and publications year-round with ONE contribution. What this means to you is you can choose to sponsor the events that make most sense for your business, budget for next year’s events and we won’t be calling on you to sponsor events throughout the year.
Your business can take advantage of the program by choosing from a large menu of events, programs, marketing and advertising opportunities. Our TRC includes two package sponsorships as well as ala carte options. Businesses choosing the Pacesetter or Builder will enjoy the best exposure for Tier I and Tier II events at an incredible value. We have options for EVERY level of support that best fits YOUR needs. Build your 2018 marketing plan today!
Please review the menu of events planned for 2018 on the following pages. All event sponsorships are sold on a first-come, first-served basis and prices are good thru January 31, 2018.
Important Note: For all sponsorships, an initial sign will be provided free-of-cost to be used at all sponsored events. If additional signage is requested, the member will be billed for the cost of that sign.

Planned Chamber Events for 2018

Flower Baskets Around the Square

The Glenwood Area Chamber of Commerce has sponsored the flower baskets around the square in Glenwood each spring and summer. This project “bloomed” in 2014 in collaboration with the City of Glenwood. We are working on a plan to expand the flower baskets to include additional areas adjacent to the square and Locust Street.
Sponsorship Opportunity: TRC members choosing this event will be recognized on a large banner located on the square and receive social media promotion.

Legislative Forums

The Glenwood Area Chamber hosts three Legislative Forums, held during the Iowa Legislative Session, in January, February, and March. Two are held in Glenwood and one is in collaboration with Mills County Extension in Malvern. Our local, state, and federal elected officials as well as the public are invited. This is an excellent opportunity for our state legislators to brief their constituents as well as engage in grassroots conversations.
Sponsorship Opportunity: TRC members choosing this event will receive event signage and social media promotion.

Welcome Back Breakfast

The Glenwood Area Chamber Board serves breakfast and welcomes the staff of Glenwood Community School District “back to school” each August and distributes Chamber Bucks to encourage shopping locally.
Sponsorship Opportunity: TRC members choosing this event will receive event signage and social media promotion.

5k Runs

Three times per year a 5K run will be hosted by the Chamber to encourage wellness, have fun, and enjoy the beautiful Glenwood area.
Sponsorship Opportunity: All Pacesetters & Builder level sponsors will have advertising presence at each of these events as part of their package. TRC promotional signs will be placed along the route. Members will also receive social media recognition.

Leadership Mills County

Leadership Mills County launched with a full class of 14 individuals in September 2017. The series is intended to offer individuals with community leadership potential the opportunity to develop knowledge and sharpen leadership skills through a series of 7 monthly sessions. The monthly sessions focus on opportunities & issues affecting our communities, building team and leadership skills, and providing educational opportunities to learn more about Mills County.
Sponsorship Opportunity: TRC members choosing this event will receive signage, social media and print recognition at each monthly class, as well as an opportunity to speak to a Leadership Class.

Dance Cam & various school-related contests

Fan Dance Cam, started in 2011, is sponsored by the Chamber and made possible through a partnership with Glenwood Community Schools, East Mills Community Schools and sponsoring businesses. Dance winners win Chamber Bucks for use with any Chamber member.
Sponsorship Opportunity: TRC members choosing this event will receive digital, verbal and program recognition. More contests are in the pipeline for 2018!

Small Business Saturday

Together with other small businesses, welcome visitors and customers to your business on Small Business Saturday!

Oktoberfest

The Chamber started Oktoberfest in 2013 to celebrate with food, music, and networking at Keg Creek Brewing Co. This event is a favorite for locals and draws a large crowd! We have plans to make this event even more fun in 2018 as we host our first cooking challenge! Teams will prepare their favorite German foods to share at the event and the attendees will crown the winner!
Sponsorship Opportunity: TRC members choosing this event will receive event signage and social media promotion.

Annual Betterment Dinner & Awards Program

The Glenwood Chamber’s most prestigious event, coordinated for close to 40 years, as we proudly recognize and award Mills County citizens who contribute their time and talents to the betterment of their community. Dinner, entertainment, and awards make this annual meeting a must-attend Mills County event.
Sponsorship Opportunity: TRC members choosing this event will receive event signage, social media promotion, program and presentation recognition, and reserved table of eight for their guests.

Home for the Holidays

**BIGGER & BETTER in 2017** the Chamber, along with the coordination of many volunteers kicks off the holiday season the first weekend in December. The tree lighting ceremony, the arrival of Santa Claus, holiday music, and goodies have been a BIG hit! A Holiday Trivia Contest & Saran ball challenge will provide a great evening of fun along with Secret Santas who distribute surprise envelopes of Chamber Bucks to folks who get caught shopping locally throughout the weekend and holiday season. We also added our first annual Holiday Home Tour to the event for 2017 which was attended by over 100 people!
Sponsorship Opportunity: TRC members choosing this event will receive event signage, verbal recognition and social media promotion.

Kegs & Eggs

Kegs & Eggs was started in 2012 in collaboration with the Glenwood Giving Garden as a social event with a St. Patrick’s Day theme to raise awareness and funds for the community garden. The event is a great community kick off to spring and offers a silent auction, music, food, and networking. The event has grown to include a 5K Run which is a hit with the local runners, school athletes and anyone looking for a good reason to dress up and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! In 2017 the Chamber partnered with Glenwood Dollars for Scholars and a portion of the proceeds from the event were awarded to Glenwood Area Students through Dollars for Scholars.
Sponsorship Opportunity: TRC members choosing this event will receive event signage and social media promotion.
