Our 17th Annual Women’s Health Symposium
is designed to provide current information related to various medical conditions, therapies and alternative medical practices related to the interest of women to Registered and Licensed Practical Nurses, Professional Healthcare providers and Business Professionals. Topics to include; The Opioid Crisis, Mindful Eating, Perimenopause/Menopause, Organ Donation, Stroke, Blood Pressure, Chair Yoga/Stretching/Meditation, and our Keynote speaker – Dr. Bill Withers, New Year -New You in the Relationship Era: Servant Leadership is a theory-base we tend to “orbit” quite a bit, as it articulates best how effective leaders look after the needs of others so that they reach their full potential. A strength of this way of looking at leadership is that it forces us away from self-serving, domineering leadership models, and makes young, emerging leaders think harder about how to respect, value, and motivate others as part of ‘their journey.

Continuing Education Unit Award: Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital is an approved provider of continuing education by the Iowa Board of Nursing, provider Number 35, for RNs and LPNs. Attendees must attend the entire activity to receive contact hours.
