Mills County Historical Museum to Host its first Middle & High School Art Contest & Show

The contest will be open to all Glenwood, East Mills, Iowa Connection Academy and home-schooled middle school and high school-aged students. The contest will include: two-dimensional, drawing, painting, photography, three-dimensional, sculpture, fiber, pottery, metal, glass, wood, basketry and jewelry. Art pieces must be historical in relationship to Mills County history. Examples could be an old barn, tractor, car, building, quilt or person. Artist must research the item they’re using for their art piece before starting work and the piece must be original. Applications for entry must be submitted no later than 4 pm on November 12th by mail of by hand delivery. Art pieces must be delivered for the show by December 2nd.
