Each year we focus our efforts on five events to support and draw people to Mills County.
Small Business Saturday, November 30th 2019:
In an effort to support local shops that make our community strong, on the Saturday after Thanksgiving we encourage people to Shop Small and bring more holiday shopping to all of our small businesses. It’s a nationwide effort to support small businesses every day. Because when they thrive, we all thrive…Please help support our community all year round by shopping local!
Stop by Glenwood City Hall or Malvern Bank between 9:00-11:00am to pick up a swag bag filled with coupons, and a possible chance to win $50 in Malvern or Chamber Bucks.
From 11:30am- 2:30pm try to find Rachel Reis of the Glenwood Area Chamber and Tina Bakehouse of Malvern Bank and Malvern Area Betterment through out the county. If you see them get your picture with them and get a special treat!
Home for the Holidays Home Tour, December 7th, 2019:
Join the Glenwood Area Chamber of Commerce for our third annual Home for the Holiday’s Home Tour! This event features up to five homes that are decked for the holidays. Light appetizers and drinks are provided at each home. At the end of the home tour, join us at Vine Street Cellars for music, raffles, and more fun! This year music will feature Dustin West.

To be entered into the raffle you must purchase your ticket before November 27th.
Business and Betterment Banquet, March 5th, 2020 :
For the last forty plus years the Glenwood Area Chamber of Commerce has hosted the Annual Betterment & Beautification Dinner & Awards Program to recognize those who make our communities a better place to live, work, and play. This is a night where we celebrate the accomplishments of the past year and look forward to building on what we have achieved.
Citizen of the Year, Junior Citizen of the Year, Start-Up Business of the Year, Community Connection Award, Educator of the Year, Customer Service of the Year, Business Transformation of the Year, Business/Facility Expansion of the Year, and Club/Organization of the Year recipients will be awarded. All award nominees and new Chamber Member businesses, individuals, clubs and organizations will be recognized at the program.
Kegs and Eggs, March 14th, 2020: Make your St Patty’s Day celebrating tons o’ fun at the 8th Annual Kegs & Eggs, sponsored by the Glenwood Area Chamber of Commerce with proceeds going to a local nonprofit. Enjoy a delicious breakfast, place your bids on silent auction items, listen to great music and drink beer! Get your green on and join us here in Mills County.
Oktoberfest, October 3rd, 2020:
Grab your favorite mug of cheers and join us for our 8th Annual Oktoberfest at the local brewery! Oktoberfest Olympics, Food, Music and more.
The Oktoberfest Olympics test your strength, will power, and agility. Next year will be the third Oktoberfest Beer Olympics and will be bigger and better!
Put together a team of 4-6 people to compete in six events! Winner will take home the coveted “Golden Oktoberfest Trophy”, along with special prize and have bragging rights for the whole year!
Some of the games to test your skills are Masskrugstemmen aka Stein Holding, Stein Races, Keg Throwing, Das Horn, and Shotski.
